P-J Fernandes is the owner of Green Shield, a carpet cleaning company based in Auckland, New Zealand, specializing in commercial carpet cleaning for hotels, stadiums, and corporate offices. P-J brings over three decades of experience and a proven track record of success to every project.
P-J’s journey in the cleaning industry began in 1990 in South Africa, where he founded Getset out of the boot of his car. Over the next 27 years, P-J grew Getset into a leading carpet cleaning company with over 100 employees, earning recommendations from major carpet manufacturers and fitters4. Getset primarily focused on contract work for commercial clients and operated a 500m2 rug cleaning plant.
After immigrating to New Zealand in 2017, P-J expanded his expertise into the kitchen cleaning industry, helping a company triple in size before selling his interests in 2021. In 2023, driven by a friend’s need for reliable commercial carpet cleaning, P-J launched Green Shield in Auckland.
